About this expansion
Casting Shadows: The Molten Rock Expansion is a 2024 expansion for 2–6 players, with a play time of 60 minutes.
Bring two new playable Characters into your games and expand the map with three new Hex tiles. These additions allow Casting Shadows to accommodate up to six players on a larger play area.
The expansion also introduces new mechanics and effects that give players fresh ways to approach the map. Fortify your defenses for extra protection, or Scorch nearby locations to burn anyone who dares to cross your path.
With its new Characters, Hex tiles, cards, Status tokens, Player Boards, and meeples, the Molten Rock Expansion adds a substantial collection of new content to the Casting Shadows experience.
