About this expansion

Lorenzo il Magnifico: New Excommunications is a small promo expansion for 2–4 players, designed for games lasting about 120 minutes. Released in 2022, it adds three new Excommunications tiles to the base game.

This expansion introduces additional penalties that can shape how Leaders are played and scored. The tiles are used with the base game; the New Edition of Lorenzo il Magnifico already includes many promos, but does not include this one.

The three Excommunications create distinct restrictions and end-game consequences:

• Tile I: From the moment it takes effect, each Leader card you play costs an additional 1 Coin, 1 Servant, and 1 Military Point.
• Tile II: Immediately remove one Leader you have played from the game.
• Tile III: At the end of the game, lose 5 points for each Leader you have played.

With effects covering extra costs, the removal of a played Leader, and victory-point loss at game end, these promo tiles add more possible consequences to Leader-focused play. Each tile presents a different rule to account for during the game or final scoring.

Whether you own the original edition or simply want the complete set of available promotional content, New Excommunications provides three additional tiles for your Lorenzo il Magnifico sessions. It is a compact addition intended to be played alongside the base game.
