About this expansion

ONUS! Greeks & Persians is a historical battle expansion for 1–4 players, with an approximately 120-minute play time, covering conflicts from 499 to 421 BC.

The expansion focuses on the Persian Wars, the wars between the Persians and Greeks, and the first period of the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta. It adds 90 unit cards representing 24 different units from major powers, Greek poleis, and mercenary forces.

The Persian forces include the Melophores guard, Sparabara archers, Takabara mercenaries, archers with shields, Sicklers, Usubari Dromedaries, Asabari Cavalry, Pasti Infantry, and Persian War Chariots. The collection also includes notable Greek forces from Athens and Sparta.

• Sparta: Spartan Hoplites, Helots infantry, Helots slingers, Spartan Cavalry, and Hippeis Cavalry.
• Athens: Hoplites, hoplites attendants, Scythian Archers, Athenian Cavalry, and Peltasts.
• Greek allies and mercenaries: Peripolos, Toxotes Archers, Thorakitai, the Theban sacred battalion, and Boeotian Hoplites.

Several units are identified as stretch goals, including Persian War Chariots, Spartan Hippeis Cavalry, Athenian Peltasts, and the Theban sacred battalion. Together, these cards broaden the historical forces available for battles set during one of the defining periods of ancient Greek and Persian warfare.

Released in 2016, ONUS! Greeks & Persians brings Persia, Athens, Sparta, and other Greek forces together in a focused collection of historical units.
