About this expansion
Duel in the Dark: Baby Blitz is a 1944 expansion for Duel in the Dark for 2–4 players, with a play time of 45 minutes. It expands the night bombing campaign with new aircraft, weapons, a West England game board, and programmable start-time points.
By late 1943, Germany was retreating on every front and preparing for the inevitable invasion by the Western Allies. In January 1944, the Luftwaffe resumed bombing operations against England using the assets it could gather in France, including the new He 177 “Greif.” Meanwhile, RAF Bomber Command continued its nightly attacks on German cities and intensified its campaign against Berlin.
In Baby Blitz, the German forces gain longer-range attack capability and a dedicated Mosquito killer in the form of the He 219. Germany also receives the V1 flying bomb and the He 177 bomber, while the British gain ground radar, a second bomber stream, and an additional Mosquito.
- Game board of West England
- V1 “flying bomb”
- He 177 bomber
- He 219 “Mosquito-killer”
