About this expansion

Zombicide: Black Plague – Abominarat and Dr. Stormcrow is a 2016 game for 1–6 players, bringing giant infected rats and a determined disease expert into the world of the zombie plague.

The Abominarats were once ordinary rats, familiar as both friends and enemies of mankind. After the plague began, many disappeared, but some became enormous monstrosities. They lurk in tunnels, across floors, and along ceilings, waiting to ambush the unwary.

These creatures are feared for their nasty fangs, the nightmarish diseases they carry, and their ability to remain unseen despite their size and stench. Their infection has turned a familiar nuisance into a terrifying threat.

  • Abominarat: a giant infected rat that stalks hidden spaces and catches victims off guard.
  • Doctor Stormcrow: an expert on infectious diseases who enters the fight to advance his research.

Doctor Stormcrow considers the plague a remarkable infection. He believes magic caused the initial outbreak, but that its continued spread has entirely natural elements. To support his theory, he points to the Creeping Death and the Bloody Flux, diseases that have killed hundreds of thousands when left unchecked.

He also observes the lack of magical emanations in most mobile zombies. If Stormcrow can prove his theorems and develop a cure, the necromancers may lose their seemingly limitless hordes. In Zombicide: Black Plague – Abominarat and Dr. Stormcrow, disease, research, and monstrous vermin become central parts of the plague-ravaged conflict.
