About this expansion
Alcatraz: The Scapegoat – Maximum Security is an expansion for 3–5 players, designed for games lasting around 60 minutes. Released in 2012, it adds new content and mechanisms to Kuźnia Gier’s Alcatraz: the Scapegoat.
The expansion broadens the game with three new locations, one new character sheet, and four new blackmail cards. The additional character sheet allows the game to be played with up to five people, extending the player count of the original experience.
Maximum Security also introduces several mechanisms that are not present in the basic game. The Chief of Security can make life even harder for the prisoners, adding a new source of difficulty to the game’s setting.
Another new role is the Sucker. This character cannot complete tasks, but also cannot become the scapegoat, creating a distinctive combination of limitation and protection.
- Three new locations
- One new character sheet for play with up to five people
- Four new blackmail cards
- The Chief of Security mechanism
- The Sucker character
- Sentence cards that grant extra abilities
Sentence cards provide characters with extra abilities, adding another new element to the available game systems. With its expanded cast, locations, cards, and prison-focused mechanisms, Alcatraz: The Scapegoat – Maximum Security offers a larger version of the original game for groups seeking the expansion’s additional content.
