About this expansion
Final Girl: Grandma’s Grudge is a solo board game for one player, with a play time of about 60 minutes and a 2025 release as part of Series 3.
In this dark fairy-tale twist, Red never reaches her grandmother. Instead, Grandma must confront the killer herself. Though old, frail, and ailing, she is a veteran hunter who knows more about tracking and slaying than most—and she is determined to rescue as many people as possible along the way.
Grandma is a slow mover, so her approach differs from other Final Girl characters. Sprint cards are removed, along with healing cards such as Short and Long Rest. In their place, she receives additional slow movement cards and cards that let her Rally the community to fight for her.
- Use frightened community members as a force against the killer.
- Set traps that can deal damage or stop the killer and immediately end their turn when they enter the space.
- Use household objects, including Knitting Needles, Knick-Knacks, and the Good Plates.
- Protect Grandma’s precious gifts, or make difficult sacrifices when necessary.
Her carpet bag may hold anything from tissues to hard candies, while even a slipper can become a formidable weapon in the right hands. Yet Grandma knows that letting the killer get too close is dangerous, so careful positioning and well-placed traps are essential.
When the community panics, its members run to Grandma for leadership and advice. Final Girl: Grandma’s Grudge combines a vulnerable heroine, rallying allies, treasured objects, and grim determination in a fresh take on the series’ survival-horror setting. Its rules were still subject to development changes in the published description.
