About this expansion

Copenhagen: New Facades is a 2020 Queenie for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 40 minutes. It introduces new challenges and opportunities for playing efficiently with multicolored tiles.

This addition changes the available tile options in two distinct ways. Size 6 tiles are added to the pool of tiles, expanding the selection available during play. The new size 5 tiles replace the normal size 5 tiles in the base game.

The multicolored tiles give players additional possibilities to consider while playing. Their different sizes create new challenges and opportunities for efficient play, adding variety to the tile pool without changing the stated player count or playing time.

Copenhagen: New Facades is the second Queenie for Copenhagen. It can also be played alongside both Queenies; when doing so, five of the multicolored size 5 tiles are randomly chosen for use in each game.

This random selection gives the combined setup a changing set of size 5 options from game to game. Whether used on its own as described or together with both Queenies, New Facades focuses on the challenge of making efficient use of multicolored tiles in sizes 5 and 6.
