About this expansion
Belfort: Her Majesty’s Civil Service is an expansion for 2–5 players with a playing time of 120 minutes, adding new content to every previously published edition of Belfort.
This expansion makes the city more dynamic with modules that change timing, available spaces, district powers, scoring, and player influence. Choose the modules that fit your game and face tougher decisions as you work to come out on top.
- Less Red Tape Rules: Speed up play while focusing on precise timing as players challenge one another through the game’s conclusion.
- Heritage Preservation Society: Remove spaces from each district and restrict their use. Designed for games with fewer than five players, this module shortens the playing field and creates tougher choices.
- The Queen of Belfort: Move the Queen between districts. Building where she is located activates one of her many powers.
- The Parks & Rex: Ms. Parks, a Dryad, and Mr. Rex, a Lizardfolk, travel through the village districts. Their locations alter how those areas score.
- The Key to Belfort: Gain the Locksmith Guild’s influence and work toward claiming the Key to Belfort—but their support can disappear if another player wins their attention.
Ms. Parks and Mr. Rex can be positioned for maximum effectiveness, while the Queen’s location encourages players to consider where they build. The Locksmith Guild adds another source of competition, with influence that can change hands.
Whether you want faster rules, a more restricted playing field, shifting district scoring, or new powers to pursue, Belfort: Her Majesty’s Civil Service offers several ways to make Belfort even more exciting.
