About this expansion
Crash City is a Car Wars supplement for 2–8 players, with games lasting around 90 minutes. It plays best with three to six players and requires the original Car Wars rules to play.
The game presents two supplied scenarios set on the 42×32-inch Midville street map. Players can also invent their own scenarios, giving the large map a flexible role in repeated games and custom setups.
Its components include two 21×32-inch map sections and 160 full-color counters painted by Denis Loubet. The counters represent a varied selection of elements, including police cars, the Ambunaught, cyclists, pedestrians, chains, police, MONDOs, and more.
- Two supplied scenarios
- A 42×32-inch Midville street map in two sections
- 160 full-color counters
- 24 pages of rules
- Support for player-created scenarios
Crash City began as an article called Sunday Drivers in The Space Gamer #50. It was later published as a complete Car Wars supplement under the same name before being renamed Crash City.
As part of the Car Wars series, this supplement expands the setting with a dedicated urban map, distinctive counters, and scenario-based play. Whether using the included scenarios or creating new ones, players have a structured set of rules and components for building their own Midville sessions.
