About this expansion

Hanamikoji: Mini Expansions is a collection of seven mini expansions for the award-winning two-player game Hanamikoji, with a playing time of approximately 15 minutes.

These expansions bring new tiles and tactics to the game as you compete to win the favor of the Geishas through graceful performances and carefully chosen actions. The retail edition regroups the seven Kickstarter mini expansions into one product.

Each expansion uses the game’s Action Markers to introduce a different combination of possibilities. The retail version includes two sets of four Action Markers, numbered from #1 to #4, along with seven cards, with each card showing a different combination for those markers.

Hanamikoji: Mini Expansions may only be played with Hanamikoji. Use the base gameplay rules together with the Action Markers, applying the expansion-specific setup changes at the beginning of each round.

When playing with an expansion, each player takes one set of four markers. Players no longer remove a card from the Item Card Deck at the start of the round. Discarded cards are instead placed face down in the game box and remain hidden throughout the round, supporting the expansions’ additional tactical possibilities.
