Just Desserts: Better With Bacon

About this expansion

Just Desserts: Better With Bacon is a ten-card expansion for 2–5 players, released in 2017. It adds six new edibles, four new customers, and a new suit: Bacon.

This expansion brings a new ingredient theme to the Just Desserts setting. Players can make new treats for people to eat, adding the six new edible cards to the possibilities available in the game.

Better With Bacon also introduces four new customers, including a vegetarian who will now come to the shop. That customer creates a clear challenge: players must keep bacon away from the vegetarian while continuing to work with the expansion’s bacon-themed content.

• Ten-card expansion for Just Desserts
• Six new edibles for making treats
• Four new customers
• One new suit: Bacon
• Playable with 2–5 players

The combination of new treats, new customers, and the Bacon suit gives the expansion a focused identity. Its vegetarian customer adds a specific consideration to the dessert-making experience, making the choice of what to serve especially important whenever that customer is involved.

As a compact addition, Just Desserts: Better With Bacon expands the card pool without changing its central premise of making treats for customers. It is a thematic choice for players who want bacon included among their dessert ingredients—and who are ready to keep it away from the vegetarian.
