About this expansion

Resident Evil: The Board Game – Director’s Cut is a 1–4 player board game with an approximately 90-minute play time, expanding the Core game with the Stretch Goals from its Kickstarter campaign.

The box adds additional playable characters, each supplied with their own cards and model. It also introduces new enemies, complete with cards and models, for use in certain scenarios from the Core game.

An included rulebook explains how to add these new enemies to the Core game and provides several additional ways to play. These options offer new challenges and can change how players approach the scenarios.

  • Traitor mode: One character may be revealed as a traitor working for Umbrella, with the goal of sabotaging the game from within.
  • Real Survival mode: Takes the challenge of Hard mode and pushes it even further.
  • Battle mode: A solo mode in which a single character attempts to defeat as many enemies as possible before the tension deck runs out.

With extra characters, additional enemies, and new gameplay modes, the Director’s Cut provides more content for the scenarios included in the Core game. Its mix of expanded components and higher-difficulty options makes it a substantial addition for players looking to explore Resident Evil: The Board Game in new ways.

Whether playing with up to four players or taking on the solo Battle mode, Resident Evil: The Board Game – Director’s Cut brings the Kickstarter campaign’s additional content together in one box.
