About this expansion

Enchanters: Wounds Deck is a mini-expansion for the fantasy card-drafting game Enchanters, playable by 1–4 players in about 60 minutes. It is also designed for the stand-alone expansion Enchanters: Overlords.

This expansion introduces a new way to track wounds. Instead of treating wounds as only a numerical total, players exchange accumulated wounds for cards that describe the injuries they have suffered.

Whenever you reach 10 Wounds, you must exchange them for a Wound Card. Each card presents an injury along with a special rule or restriction, making the consequences of damage more specific than a simple number.

  • Replace every 10 Wounds with a Wound Card.
  • Read the injury described on the card.
  • Follow its special rule or restriction during the game.

For example, one Wound Card states: “You cannot journey for the fifth and the sixth card on the Journey Track.” This gives a wound a defined effect that can influence how you use the Journey Track.

Enchanters: Wounds Deck adds an injury-focused layer to the wound system while preserving the setting of the fantasy card-drafting game. Whether used with Enchanters or Enchanters: Overlords, it offers a distinct way to represent the wounds players receive.

Released in 2018, this expansion is suited to groups of 1–4 players and games lasting around 60 minutes. It is a focused addition for players who want wounds to be represented by descriptive cards with rules and restrictions rather than by a number alone.
