About this expansion

BANG! The Duel: Renegades is a 2019 expansion for 2–3 players that adds four new ways to play BANG! The Duel, with games lasting around 30 minutes.

This expansion broadens the experience with three new modes for two players and one mode designed for three players. Each mode offers a different way to approach the familiar duel, creating fresh scenarios for players who want to explore more possibilities.

• The Third Group: two different modes for two players
• Reinforcements: an additional two-player mode
• Mexican Standout: a mode for three players

Renegades also introduces a deck of green-bordered Resource cards. Resources are a special type of equipment, adding another layer of timing and planning to the game.

Like other equipment cards, a Resource must be put into play on your rearguard character or your opponent’s active character. However, Resources have a crucial restriction: they cannot be used on the same turn they are played. Their abilities become available starting with your next turn.

This delayed-use rule makes Resources distinct from blue-bordered equipment and rewards players who plan ahead. Choosing where to place one—and preparing for the turn when it becomes usable—can be an important part of navigating these new formats.

Whether you are playing with two people or bringing in a third player, BANG! The Duel: Renegades offers four structured variations and a new resource system in a compact expansion for fans of the original duel.
