Carcassonne: The Wonders of Humanity

About this expansion

Carcassonne: The Wonders of Humanity is a tile-laying game for 2–5 players, with a play time of approximately 45 minutes. Released in 2023, it adds historic wonders to the tile-laying game.

The defining feature of this addition is its collection of historic wonders. These marvels are not merely part of the setting: each one has a unique effect on play, bringing a distinct influence to the game.

As the game combines tile-laying with historic wonders, the wonders become an important part of the experience. Their individual effects give each marvel a specific role within play, while keeping the focus on the core tile-laying format.

With support for 2–5 players, Carcassonne: The Wonders of Humanity accommodates both smaller and larger groups. Its listed play time of 45 minutes makes it a defined, contained gaming experience.

This edition is centered on the relationship between historic marvels and tile-laying. Players encounter wonders that each affect play in their own way, creating a version of the game where these landmarks are directly connected to how the game unfolds.

For players interested in tile-laying games with a historical theme, Carcassonne: The Wonders of Humanity offers a focused addition built around historic wonders and their unique effects. It preserves the central tile-laying identity while introducing marvels that matter during play.
