About this expansion
Iganie 1831 is a two-player historical wargame expansion for Ostrołęka 26 maja 1831, covering the Battle of Iganie during the November Uprising. A full game takes approximately 2.5 to 4 hours, with an autowin option available to end the battle sooner.
Players recreate the final part of the Polish Spring Offensive, as General Ignacy Prądzyński attempts to defeat the Russian 6th Corps commanded by General Grigory Rosen and threaten the Russian depot at Siedlce. The Polish forces are outnumbered, while Russian units are divided between the banks of the Muchawiec River.
The battle’s decisive struggle centers on the river crossing. Polish forces must exploit the Russian defensive situation and seize the only bridge, while Russian units attempt to bring reinforcements across the river and avoid being cut off. The historical scenario reflects the failed coordination of the planned Polish attack and the late arrival of supporting groups.
The game uses the rules, charts, tables, and markers from Ostrołęka 26 maja 1831, while adding battle-specific systems. Command points and a changeable phase order give players additional control over the flow of operations. The rule and scenario book also includes a detailed historical article and additional artillery rules, including an integrated table for round-shot and grenade fire.
