The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Deck: The Long Dark is a challenging Nightmare Mode deck for 1–2 players, with a play time of about 60 minutes.

Designed to reshape the matching original quest, this deck lets players revisit a scenario they thought they knew. New, alternate encounter cards introduce deadlier enemies, darker locations, and more terrifying surprises for a harsher journey through familiar territory.

The deck contains 20 new encounter cards to add to the original quest. It also includes the instructions needed to prepare and play the scenario in Nightmare Mode, including guidance on which older cards are removed from the original setup.
