About this board game

Pokémon Chips is a Pokémon-themed game for 2–5 players that takes about 15 minutes to play. Each round, players compete to complete objectives, score valuable Pokémon, and move closer to victory.

At the start of a round, every player receives five objective cards, while the Pokéball tokens are placed in the bag. Tokens are drawn in stages, with players discarding objective cards after each draw. This creates a series of decisions as the contents of the beach card develop.

1. Draw four tokens and place them on the beach card, then discard one objective card.
2. Draw three more tokens, then discard another objective card.
3. Draw two more tokens, then discard another objective card.
4. Draw one final token.

Once all the tokens have been drawn, check the remaining objective cards. An uncompleted objective is discarded, while a completed objective is kept. If both objectives are met, the player chooses which card to keep.

The goal is to be the first player to collect 10 points or to meet the objective on a trophy card. The Pokémon edition is scored differently from the standard edition of Bag of Chips, giving this version its own scoring experience.

Pokémon Chips also includes trainer cards. Each player can use a special unique power from their trainer card, adding another distinctive element to the round-by-round race for points and trophies. Released in 2023, it combines Pokémon theming with quick draws, changing objectives, and decisive discards.
