About this board game
10 Days in Europe is a travel game for 2–4 players, played in about 30 minutes, in which players build a continuous ten-tile journey across Europe by land, sea, and air.
Each player begins by selecting tiles and placing them into the empty spaces of a trip planner. During a turn, a player draws one tile from a face-up discard pile or the face-down pile, then may replace one tile in their lineup. Tiles cannot be rearranged, so every exchange matters. The drawn or replaced tile is discarded into one of the face-up piles.
To win, all ten tiles in your lineup must satisfy the travel connection requirements. Country tiles can connect by foot when the countries are next to or connected to each other on the map. Air travel links two countries of the same color, with an airplane tile placed between them.
Ships provide another route between countries when a sea or ocean borders both locations. The 10 Days in Europe edition includes Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Baltic ship tiles, adding different ways to complete your route while you manage the available discards.
- Build a ten-tile continuous trip through Europe.
- Connect countries by land, matching-color air routes, or sea routes.
- Use face-up discard piles and the face-down pile to improve your lineup.
- Plan carefully because tiles in your trip planner cannot be rearranged.
The game includes a map showing 42 countries in five colors, 48 country tiles, nine ship tiles, five pairs of airplane tiles, and four trip planners. Released in 2002, 10 Days in Europe challenges players to find an efficient route while making clever exchanges and adapting to the tiles available.
