About this board game

12 Rivers is a board game for 2–4 players with an approximate play time of 75 minutes, released in 2022. Players lead one of four tribes in a world where people and nature are said to coexist peacefully.

Each year, the God of Nature provides abundant resources, and rivers carry this Nature’s Bounty across the land. Players send warriors toward the mountain, where they camp near the river and collect resources to bring back to villagers in need.

The river offers an important choice. Warriors can move toward its origin to find more valuable bounties, but doing so requires paying more camp tools. Players must weigh the potential value of rare resources against the tools needed to gather them.

• Lead one of four tribes.
• Send warriors to camp near the river.
• Collect Nature’s Bounty for the villagers.
• Balance resource value against camp-tool costs.
• Compete for bounty rarity after five rounds.

After five rounds, the bounties delivered to the villagers are scored according to their rarity. Careful movement and resource gathering are central to building a prosperous year for your tribe.
