18NewEngland is a partial-capitalization railroad game for 2–5 players, with play lasting about 240 minutes. Released in 2018, it is set in southern New England, covering the area from Massachusetts south to New York City.

The game’s setting reflects the territory where the New York, New Haven, and Hartford and Boston and Maine Railroads operated. This regional focus gives the game a clearly defined historical backdrop while centering play on company selection and capitalization.

In the base game, there are no auctions. Instead, the initial companies are selected through a draft, giving players a direct role in determining which companies enter the game and shaping the opening position.
