About this board game

21 Days is a dice-driven survival board game for 1–4 players, with games lasting around 45 minutes. Set in the aftermath of the Esperanza disaster, it follows four survivors stranded on a fragile raft in the Pacific and struggling to reach safety.

Over the course of 21 recorded days, players relive the adventures described in a recovered logbook. Survivors choose and perform actions at different locations on the board by using their placement dice, while events shape the unfolding journey. The goal is to have at least one survivor rescued when the rescue ship arrives on the 21st day.

  • Dice-driven survival: Survivors are represented by two stacked dice each, and dice results influence what they can do.
  • A fragile raft: The raft is built from six loosely connected planks, and losing too many can cost survivors their lives.
  • Ways to adapt: Save hope tokens, choose useful bottle cards, alter dice, plan ahead, and use each survivor’s special skills.

Every decision matters as the survivors manage the raft and face the dangers recorded in the logbook. Although luck plays a major role in this Ameritrashy experience, careful planning and clever use of available resources can help turn difficult rolls into a chance for survival.

Keep enough of the raft intact, endure the changing events, and make it to the final position on the rescue track. If survivors remain when the rescue ship enters that spot, they are saved and you win. In 21 Days, the Pacific ordeal lasts only three weeks—but every day can determine who reaches home.
