About this board game

6-Tage Rennen is a bicycle race game for 3–8 players, played in approximately 60 minutes. First released in 1986, it challenges players to move their riders forward and be the first to cross the finish line.

On each turn, a player chooses and plays any card from their hand. The rider then moves forward by the number of spaces shown on that card. The key rule is that occupied spaces can turn a normal move into a much longer sprint.

  • An unoccupied space ends the move when the rider lands there.
  • A space occupied by one other rider doubles the move.
  • A space occupied by two other riders triples the move.
  • The multiplier continues to increase with each additional rider on the space.

For example, playing a 3 card and landing on a space with three other riders produces a threefold move: the rider advances nine more spaces, for a total movement of twelve spaces. This simple rule makes the positions of other riders an important part of every move.

Players must decide how to use the cards in their hands while looking for opportunities to benefit from crowded spaces. A carefully timed card can transform a modest advance into a powerful burst of speed, helping a rider close the distance or reach the finish line.

The objective in 6-Tage Rennen is direct: cross the finish line first. This title should not be confused with Internationales 6 Tage Rennen.
