About this board game

7 Ate 9 is a quick-playing card game for 2–4 players that takes about 5 minutes. Everyone races to get rid of their cards, but each play must follow the numerical rule shown on the current card.

Every card has a large numeral from 1 to 10 and a smaller corner numeral of ±1, ±2, or ±3. To begin, place one card face down in the center of the table, deal the remaining cards evenly among the players, and then reveal the central card.

Players race to add the next card to the central pile. The next card must have a large numeral that matches the revealed card’s large numeral plus or minus its smaller corner value. For example, a card showing a large 5 with ±2 in the corner can be covered by a card showing either 3 or 7.
