7 Summits

About this board game

7 Summits is a dice-drafting game for 2–5 players, with approximately 45 minutes of play time, in which teams of world-class mountain climbers attempt to scale the tallest mountain on each of the seven continents.

Each turn, you choose a die and use it to climb its associated mountain. The dice give you options for advancing your expedition, but every climb also presents a decision: stop early and play it safe, or press on in pursuit of the summit.

Pressing on can move you closer to your goal, but it also increases the danger. Every time you choose to continue, you run the risk of an avalanche, making the decision to push higher an important part of the game.

Along the way, you can improve your climbing capability by upgrading equipment and advancing your skills. These improvements support your efforts as you work toward completing the full set of seven summits.

Released in 2021, 7 Summits combines dice selection with a clear push-your-luck choice. Will you stop before the danger becomes too great, or press on and risk an avalanche in the hope of being the first to climb them all?
