Abducktion: IntergalacDuck Research Expansion

About this expansion

Abducktion: IntergalacDuck Research Expansion is an expansion game for 1–6 players, with a listed play time of 40 minutes. It adds new components, new duck formations, and a brand-new Glitter Duck breed to the Abducktion experience.

The centerpiece is the adorable Research Pod, a mini spaceship that holds two ducks. Flip the pod around and dock it to your board in any orientation, allowing you to collect ducks in wild new formations.

Glitter Ducks introduce a different kind of challenge. Use them to clog up your opponents’ boards during the early game, then recover them by the endgame because they are worth points.

• Expands the game to up to 6 players
• Includes 2 extra boards and 40 extra ducks
• Includes 6 Research Pods
• Adds Glitter Ducks, a new breed with different behavior
• Includes 20 new challenging Formation Cards worth higher points

The new Formation Cards provide additional challenges and higher-value scoring opportunities, while the Research Pods open up fresh ways to arrange ducks on your board. Together, these additions make the expansion’s formations and board development feel distinct from the original game.

The expansion description gives a game length of 25–30 minutes, compared with 15–20 minutes for the original game, while the listed play time is 40 minutes. With its extra boards, pods, ducks, Glitter Ducks, and Formation Cards, Abducktion: IntergalacDuck Research Expansion offers a larger game for groups of up to six players.
