Abyss: Kraken

About this expansion

Abyss: Kraken is the first expansion for Abyss, supporting 2–4 players in games of approximately 60 minutes. Released in 2015, it adds new elements to the base game without changing its rules.

The expansion introduces the Smugglers Guild, settled in the heart of a giant sea-creatures cemetery in the darkest depths of the Deep kingdom. In this disconcerting necropolis, Guild representatives trade Nebulis, wonderful black pearls that serve as the realm’s unofficial currency.

Nebulis can accelerate your way to power, but they come with danger: those caught in possession of these pearls face a terrible fate. A mysterious Kraken figure and a transparent cup add to the expansion’s distinctive presentation.

Abyss: Kraken expands the game with a broad collection of new cards, tokens, locations, and pearls:

• 7 new Allies cards
• 18 new Lord cards
• 3 Sentinel tokens
• 6 new location tiles
• 25 Loot cards
• 25 black pearls, known as Nebulis
• 1 Kraken figure and 1 transparent cup

With its undersea necropolis, illicit currency, and mysterious Krakens, Abyss: Kraken brings a darker atmosphere to the Deep kingdom. It is designed to be played alongside the base game, adding new content while leaving the original rules unchanged.
