About this board game

Acornism is a family-friendly tile-placement puzzle game for 2–4 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. With easy-to-grasp rules and deep strategy, it challenges players to surround forest animals with exactly the number of acorns they need.

As tiles are placed, watch the four sides of each forest animal. When the total number of acorns on those sides matches the number shown on the animal tile, the animal is full and leaves the forest.

  • Place tiles to build combinations around forest animals.
  • Match the required acorn total across all four sides.
  • Place a fallen leaf on a completed animal’s space to score points.

Every placement can affect the puzzle and the opportunities still available. Finding a successful arrangement requires careful attention to the acorn totals, while the simple rules make Acornism accessible for family play.

When no players are able to place more tiles, the game ends. Each player adds the score for every animal tile they have won, and the player with the highest score wins.

Acornism combines approachable rules with meaningful tile-placement decisions in a compact forest-themed contest. Complete animals, claim your scored spaces with fallen leaves, and pursue the highest total before the available placements run out.
