About this expansion

Advanced Squad Leader: Starter Kit Expansion Pack #1 is a two-player tactical World War II wargame with an approximately 480-minute play time. Designed for every level of Starter Kit player, it expands the system with new maps, counters, rules, charts, and historically themed battles.

The pack includes three 8×22-inch geomorphic boards: q, a small city board; r, featuring a village and woods; and s, depicting rural woods and hills. It is completely standalone and provides everything needed to play except dice, including a fully illustrated color rulebook, updated rules addressing known errata, and new reference charts.

Its eight scenarios cover a broad range of Starter Kit experiences. Two focus on infantry only, two add guns, and four introduce tanks, including two scenarios in which only one side has tanks. Battles place Slovakian and Polish forces in Poland in 1939, Germans and Russians in Finland in 1942, Italians and Americans in Sicily in 1943, and American, French, and German forces in France and Germany during 1944.
