Advanced Squad Leader: Starter Kit #3 is a two-player World War II tactical wargame with approximately 180 minutes of play time. Released in 2007, it is a self-contained introduction to the Advanced Squad Leader system, with rules, counters, maps, and scenarios included in the box.

This third Starter Kit builds on the series’ approachable teaching format and introduces tanks and other fighting vehicles. Its illustrated, conversational rulebook explains the game’s concepts while highlighting the new material, making it possible to start with this kit even without owning the earlier Starter Kits.

The battlefields use 40-meter hexes, while units represent groups of 5 to 10 men, individual leaders, vehicles, and guns. Each game turn represents about two minutes, creating a focused framework for historical World War II engagements.
