About this board game

Aetherya is a kingdom-shaping card game for 1–4 players that plays in about 20 minutes.

Unexplored wilderness and a constantly changing kingdom await. Humans, elves, dwarves, goblins, and dragons inhabit Aetherya, but they do not always get along. Your task is to shape the land according to your ideas while accommodating its inhabitants peacefully.

Each player begins with a 4×4 face-down arrangement of cards. On every turn, you draw a card and replace something in your playing space. This simple, evolving card layout gives you a way to develop your kingdom as the game unfolds.

Peaceful development is only part of the challenge. Neighboring kingdoms are developing too, so you must make sure they do not advance faster than yours. Will you make history, or will your kingdom perish in conflict? The outcome depends on how you shape the land and respond to the changing kingdom around you.

Aetherya offers three ways to play:

• Competitive mode for a contest between neighboring kingdoms.
• Co-operative mode for a shared experience.
• Solo mode when you want to face the kingdom on your own.

Variants for players of different ability levels make the game adaptable across a range of experience. Released in 2022, Aetherya combines a compact playing time with a changing card arrangement, a varied fantasy population, and multiple modes for exploring its shifting kingdom.
