About this board game

Agamemnon is a fast-paced strategy board game for two players, with games lasting around 30 minutes. Taking the roles of ancient Greek gods during the Trojan War, players tactically deploy warriors, leaders, and mysterious Weavers to influence the battles of Troy.

Each player begins with a set of fifteen playing tiles, shuffled face down. The tiles include Warriors, whose numerical values represent strength; Leaders, which have both a letter rank and a strength value; and Weavers, which have no strength or rank but can manipulate the board’s Strings of Fate.

At the start of the game, Strings of Fate tiles are placed on their matching spaces. The first player reveals and places one tile on an available space. From the following turns onward, each player reveals and places two tiles per turn, creating a constantly changing contest over the connected strings.

  • Warp Weaver: swaps two adjacent Strings of Fate.
  • Weft Weaver: splits every string it is connected to.
  • Strength Strings: go to the player with the highest combined strength.
  • Leadership Strings: go to the player with the single highest-ranked tile.
  • Force Strings: go to the player with the most tiles, including Weavers.

Once every tile has been placed, each String of Fate is resolved according to its type. Players claim all tiles from the strings they win, and the player with the most tiles at the end is victorious.

With its blend of tactical placement, shifting connections, and multiple ways to win control, Agamemnon presents a focused duel in which every tile can influence the final outcome.
