About this board game
Agent Hunter is a two-player hidden-information game that plays in about 15 minutes. Rival agents attempt to eliminate one another’s three safe houses, represented by face-down cards with values ranging from 0 to 9.
Every attack is a test of judgment. When you attack from your hand, reveal one of your agent cards and target an opponent’s safe house. A matching value eliminates that safe house. If the values do not match, your opponent tells you only whether your card is higher or lower than the hidden card, preserving the mystery of the exact number.
You can also protect your position by switching agents. Replace one face-down card from your safe houses with a card from your hand, possibly choosing the same card. This action can be used no more than five times during the game, making each swap a valuable opportunity to reshape what your opponent can discover.
- Attack from your hand: Test an agent card against a hidden safe house and gain a higher-or-lower clue when you miss.
- Switch agents: Exchange a safe-house card with one from your hand, up to five times.
- Attack from your safe house: Reveal one of your safe houses and one belonging to your opponent; the matching side eliminates the opponent’s safe house, while a mismatch eliminates your own.
As the hunt develops, moving closer to your target also risks compromising your own position. Stealth and cunning are essential in Agent Hunter, where every revealed card can change the balance of the pursuit.
Players continue taking turns until all three safe houses belonging to one player have been eliminated. With hidden values, limited switching, and several ways to attack, each decision brings both the chance to strike and the danger of exposing yourself.
