About this expansion

Alhambra: The Treasure Chamber is a modular expansion for 2–6 players that adds four small expansions to Alhambra, with a playing time of about 60 minutes.

Like the earlier Alhambra expansions, this set is designed for flexible combinations. Each module can be used separately or combined with the others, as well as with modules from previous expansions, letting players shape the experience around the additions they want to include.

  • The Treasure Chamber: Treasure chests must be brought to safety. They are worth points when brought to buildings that match their color.
  • The Architect Cards: These cards have two functions. They allow an additional remodeling of an Alhambra and can also be used as money cards.
  • The Bazaars: This module introduces a new building type. Bazaars can provide up to 24 extra victory points when buildings of matching colors are built next to them.
  • The Attackers: The palace is under attack. Lookouts watch for clues about the direction of the assault, allowing players to build protective walls in that direction. Without the necessary protection, players lose points during final scoring.

These modules add new ways to connect buildings, manage money, remodel an Alhambra, and protect the palace. The color-based scoring of treasure chests and bazaars sits alongside the architectural choices and defensive pressure created by the attackers.

Released in 2006, Alhambra: The Treasure Chamber gives fans of the base game four distinct additions in one box. Use one module for a focused change or combine several for a broader expansion experience.
