About this board game

Ali Baba is a treasure-collecting tile game for 2–4 players that plays in about 20 minutes. Enter the cave of the forty thieves, gather its riches, and aim to finish with the most valuable collection.

Before Ali Baba, the sealed cave magically opens to reveal an enormous hoard. Golden statues, coin-filled chests, shiny swords, and necklaces decorated with precious marbles await anyone brave enough to start gathering them.

On each turn, take one of the open tiles from the game board. Removing a tile can cause new tiles to become available, continually changing the choices presented to every player.

Every tile’s background color corresponds to a special effect. Use these effects to outsmart your opponents as the available treasures shift and new opportunities appear. Careful choices can help you build a stronger collection while influencing what remains for the other players.

At the end of the game, the more treasures of the same kind you have, the more points you score. Ali Baba combines accessible treasure gathering with changing tile availability and colorful special effects, creating a quick contest to become the wealthiest player.
