Alien Uprising

About this board game

Alien Uprising is a cooperative survival board game for 3–5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Crash-landed on Hive IV, your crew must withstand a growing Zothren war party while working toward rescue or escape.

The alien attacks begin with scouts, but archers, slashers, and monstrous brutes soon surround the perimeter. As the crew retrieves scattered debris from the ship, the Zothren attack the force fields and threaten to overwhelm the survivors.

Each turn begins when the first player rolls the custom dice to establish the available actions. Players then choose actions in order, combining their unique character skills with the needs of the crew. The dice can provide opportunities, but their alien icon also indicates enemy speed and limits the actions available that turn.

• Combat: Hold back the attacking Zothren and protect the crew.
• Engineering: Retrieve and repair equipment and parts of the ship.
• Reload, recharge, and first aid: Restore the crew’s ability to keep operating.
• Scout and wild actions: Search the hostile surroundings and adapt to the turn’s options.

Your crew can succeed in two ways: hold off the attacks until the responding rescue ship arrives, or repair the hull and engine well enough to lift off the planet. Every decision contributes to the larger effort, from defending the perimeter to recovering the debris needed to make escape possible.

Alien Uprising also includes higher difficulty levels for experienced players. With changing action availability, distinct crew skills, urgent repairs, and an escalating alien threat, each game challenges the team to coordinate its limited opportunities before Hive IV claims the ship and its crew.
