About this board game

Aloha Pioha is a fast card game for 1–4 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Released in 2016, it casts each player as the chief of a Hawaiian tribe of lice enjoying a mischievous day in a little girl’s hair.

At Lanikai beach, little Pualani discovers that something is wrong with her hair: lice are pulling it and tickling her. The fun cannot last forever, though. Eventually, Pualani will no longer be able to endure the pests and will try to eliminate them.

Players must guide their lice through the battle of the hair by making clever use of their cards. Hand management is central to the game, so choosing when and how to play your lice cards is key to staying ahead.

  • Fast card-game play for 1–4 players
  • A playful Hawaiian lice theme
  • Lice cards that must be played wisely
  • Hand management and cunning competition

Each player is competing to be the most cunning chief while the lice continue their gleeful assault on Pualani’s hair. The challenge lies in managing your hand and timing your plays as the struggle unfolds.

With its lighthearted premise and direct card-based competition, Aloha Pioha turns a battle against lice into a compact contest of strategy and mischief. Take command of your tribe, pull some hair, and try to win the battle before Pualani puts an end to the fun.
