About this expansion
American Megafauna (Second Edition): Expansion Set is an expansion for the evolutionary game American Megafauna, supporting games for 1–5 players. It adds new technology, venom, and marine adaptations while expanding the game to include a fifth player.
This set requires American Megafauna to play, preferably the second edition. Its additional content broadens the available cards and introduces a new creature sheet for the Proto-Croc player, also known as “Arizonasaurus.”
The expansion includes a booklet with errata, alternate starting biomes, and personal commentary on the significance of the game to today’s events. It also provides the materials needed to add the new fifth player to your game.
- 31 new DNA cards
- 9 new biome cards
- 4 new catastrophe cards
- 2 new genotype cards
- A new creature sheet, card, and tents for the fifth player
- A booklet featuring errata, alternate starting biomes, and commentary
With its mix of new adaptations, additional card types, and expanded player support, the set gives returning players more content to explore within the American Megafauna system. The Proto-Croc addition also makes five-player games possible.
Released in 2006, American Megafauna (Second Edition): Expansion Set is designed for players who already own the base game and want to extend it with new options and components. It expands American Megafauna while retaining its focus on evolutionary development.
