Anachronism

About this board game

Anachronism is a non-random collectible combat game for 2–4 players, with battles that can last about five minutes. It lets you take control of famous warriors from history and pit them against one another in one-on-one combat to the death.

The original two-player starter set matches the Japanese warrior Musashi against the Norse legend Beowulf. From there, the game expands through cards representing notable figures, weapons, and armor from a range of historical eras.

Players can add to their decks with booster packs containing set selections of cards. Early releases focus on Greek, Japanese, Norse, and Roman heroes, while later additions bring in other periods, including the eras of Genghis Khan and Richard the Lionheart.

Presented by The History Channel and TriKing Games, Anachronism carries The History Channel’s seal of approval for its historical focus. The game also supports variant formats for more than two players, with some cards specifically geared toward multiplayer games.
