About this expansion

Architects of the West Kingdom: Works of Wonder is an expansion for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 80 minutes. In 2022, builders from across the land gather for the King’s latest endeavour: constructing five glorious monuments to beautify the city.

Not every architect can receive this honour. Players compete to build the five Wonders while pursuing the influence and charitable reputation needed to earn recognition. Works of Wonder adds an extension to the main board, providing space for new cards and a way to track each player’s Influence.

Two distinctive figures bring additional opportunities and decisions to the city. The Princess and the elusive Profiteer are represented by tokens that move around the main board, allowing players to gain their support as the projects progress.

The expansion introduces Contribution/Consequence Cards alongside its new influence system, extending the architectural contest with fresh elements to manage. Players must decide how to pursue the King’s monumental vision while building support and establishing their reputation.

For solo players, Works of Wonder includes an entirely new system featuring six unique opponents. Whether competing with friends or facing one of these solo rivals, Architects of the West Kingdom: Works of Wonder brings five ambitious construction projects and new figures to the city.
