About this expansion

Arkham Horror: The Card Game – The Miskatonic Museum: Mythos Pack is a 1–4 player adventure with an approximately 120-minute play time, released in 2017. It is the first Mythos Pack in The Dunwich Legacy cycle.

The adventure begins with a book. Somewhere inside the Miskatonic Museum, Olaus Wormius’s Latin translation of the Necronomicon has been hidden and kept under lock and key, protecting its arcane secrets from those who should never gain access to them.

After recent events at the university and the Clover Club suggest that someone may be searching for the ancient tome, you head to the museum. The hour is late, the front door is locked, and recovering the book before it can be used for dark purposes becomes an urgent priority.

  • Investigate the darkened chambers of the Miskatonic Museum.
  • Search for Olaus Wormius’s Latin translation of the Necronomicon.
  • Face something else stalking the museum’s many exhibitions.

The cards and adventure in The Miskatonic Museum grant access to the museum and its exhibits. You can approach the story as a relatively simple book-recovery mission, or incorporate it into the campaign from The Dunwich Legacy.

Whichever approach you choose, the museum is far from empty. As the investigation unfolds among its locked rooms and darkened displays, a frightening urgency hangs over every attempt to recover the book. You are not alone within the exhibits, and something unseen—or perhaps not so unseen—stalks the halls.
