Asara: Die Gaben des Kalifen

About this expansion

Asara: Die Gaben des Kalifen is an expansion for 2–4 players, designed for games lasting around 50 minutes, and can be used with both the basic and advanced Asara game.

In the basic game, five board locations receive treasure chest markers. One card from a 20-card deck is placed face-up beside each marked space, creating additional rewards for players who visit those locations with a buyer.

When a player claims one of these cards, its action is carried out immediately. The available effects provide several different benefits:

• Acquire 4–6 gold.
• Buy one tower tile of the depicted type: top, middle, or bottom.
• Earn two prestige points.
• Choose one buyer from the deck.

At the end of each year, every marked location receives a new card, while any cards still remaining there stay in place. This means the treasure spaces can continue to offer new opportunities throughout the game.

The advanced game adds a treasure chest marker to one space in the House of the Lighted Windows. That location also receives cards with bonus actions. In addition, four cards are added to the deck that require a player visiting the space to buy a lighted window for four gold.
