About this board game
ASG Golf is a 2009 golf board game for 1-4 players, offering both detailed shot-by-shot play and a faster Quick Play format. It recreates the game through individual golfer cards and carefully drawn course materials.
Each golfer is represented by a dedicated card that reflects their abilities, including their strengths and weaknesses. The same golfer cards are used in both versions, allowing the player lineup to remain consistent whether you choose the full game or Quick Play.
- Full shot-by-shot version: follow the round in detailed fashion, handling each shot as part of the golfing experience.
- Quick Play version: use individual hole cards to provide a more streamlined way to play a course.
Courses are drawn to scale by George Gerney, who has analyzed and drawn courses for more than 10 years. Their vivid colors and oversized yardage-book presentation make the layouts a prominent part of the game.
Every hole in each Quick Play course has its own card. Alongside the result numbers, each card includes a small, full-color drawing of the hole, bringing the course information together in a clear and distinctive format.
With two ways to approach a round, golfer cards that highlight individual abilities, and richly presented course materials, ASG Golf is designed as a challenging and enjoyable golfing experience. Whether you prefer the detail of playing shot by shot or the convenience of Quick Play, the game provides a focused tabletop interpretation of golf.
