About this board game

At the Office is a 2023 roll-and-write game for 2–4 players, with each game taking about 30 minutes. Roll five dice, choose a result, and assign it to a member of your team on the score sheet as you work toward becoming Boss of the Year.

Every roll creates an important decision. The active player selects one result, and that result becomes unavailable to the other players, so you must balance your immediate choices with the needs of your overall team. Careful planning and effective team management are essential if you want to score as many points as possible.

INGSOC 1984 plays the same as At the Office, but gives the setting a darker political twist. Instead of managing an office team, players organize new recruits for the political party by placing them in their ideal position.

Build a good team or you will be vaporized, while the great brother watches. This alternate presentation uses the same gameplay foundation while offering a distinct theme for players who want their roll-and-write experience with an ominous edge.
