About this board game
Atlanta Is Ours is a 1–2 player American Civil War campaign game with a listed play time of 7,920 minutes, covering the Union advance from Dalton to the capture of Atlanta and the campaign that followed.
Part of the award-winning Great Campaigns of the American Civil War series, it includes an updated version of the series’ Standard Basic Game Rules. Its standardized Advanced Game rules help players move between campaigns while maintaining a consistent system.
The game includes 14 Basic Game scenarios, ranging from the beginner-friendly Snake Creek Gap and Resaca scenario to major engagements at Kennesaw Mountain, the Chattahoochee, Atlanta, Ezra Church, Jonesboro, and Lovejoy’s Station. Smaller cavalry scenarios feature Wheeler’s Raid and Kilpatrick’s Raid, while other scenarios explore Sherman’s wide-ranging maneuvers and Johnston’s defensive retreats.
Five Advanced Game campaigns expand the scope: To The Chattahoochee, The Real Game For Atlanta, The Atlanta Campaign, The Hardest Knocks, and Without Home Or Habitation. Together, they cover operations from May through October 1864, including Hood’s attacks, Sherman’s maneuvering, the fall of Atlanta, and Hood’s later attempt to cut the Union rail line.
