Audition

About this board game

Audition is a tactical card game for 2–6 players that plays in about 20 minutes. Released in 2023, it challenges players to collect the right musicians and score more points than their opponents.

On each turn, perform an action while working toward valuable collections. The goal is not simply to gather as many musicians as possible; only specific combinations contribute to your final score.

The scoring rules create two clear targets. Soloists score points on their own, while sets of four musicians with the same number also score. Other musicians do not score, so deciding what to collect is central to every game.

• Collect certain musicians through tactical card play.
• Score with soloists.
• Score sets of four musicians sharing the same number.
• Win by having the most points at the end of the game.

Audition keeps its focus on tactical decisions and purposeful collection. Each action can help you pursue a soloist, work toward a matching set, or move you closer to a higher final score.

At the end of the game, players compare the points earned by their scoring musicians and sets. Whoever has the most points wins, making every successful collection part of the race for victory.
