About this board game
Autumn is an 18-card game of paths and falling leaves for 1–3 players, with a play time of about 20 minutes.
Players take turns placing cards on top of cards that have already been played. Each card shows four groups of leaves, creating the elements needed to build connected areas across the growing layout.
To play a card, place it so that it overlaps cards already in play, covering either one or two groups of leaves. Every placement changes the visible arrangement and contributes to the connected leaf patterns that players are trying to develop.
The aim is straightforward: finish with the largest area of connected leaves. The cards you place and the groups you cover shape the final result, making each turn part of the race to create the strongest connected area.
- Players: 1–3
- Playing time: 20 minutes
- Components: 18 cards
- Core mechanism: Overlapping card placement
With its compact card count and focused objective, Autumn presents a concise spatial challenge centered on placement and connection. The rules revolve around a simple sequence: play a card over previously played cards, cover one or two leaf groups, and work toward the largest connected area by the end of the game.
Released in 2015, Autumn offers a small-scale tabletop experience built around paths, falling leaves, and the changing shape of the shared card layout. Whether played with one, two, or three players, Autumn keeps the focus on how individual placements combine into a final connected pattern.
