About this board game

Bank Heist is a social deduction game for 5–8 players that plays in about 60 minutes, combining secret identities with an explosive action phase.

Each player secretly becomes an Agent, Rival, or Crew member. Agents know whether they have a comrade, and Rivals do the same, while the usually larger Crew begins in the dark. One Crew member has Sticky Fingers and must keep cash bags whether the Crew wins or loses.

The game unfolds in two primary phases. During The Robbery, players try to load cash into the truck before the police arrive. Players draw and pass cards, watching what recipients do with them to determine who can be trusted. Crew members must place cash bags in the truck, Agents try to stop the robbery by keeping them, and Rivals need the robbery to succeed while attempting to eliminate others before the game ends.

  • Item cards include Adrenaline, Zip Ties, Knives, and more.
  • Alarm cards trigger instant actions, such as checking an identity card for a Crew Tattoo.
  • Attribute cards, including Martial Skills and Gun Jammed, can enhance or hinder abilities.

If the robbery succeeds, play moves to The Getaway. Using information and items gathered during the robbery, players try to eliminate those they do not trust before the truck reaches the Hideout. Unlike many social deduction games, Bank Heist delays player elimination until this secondary phase.

Each faction has different abilities during the getaway to support its specific win conditions, making every decision—from passing a card to protecting a cash bag—matter. Bank Heist creates a shifting contest of suspicion, cooperation, and betrayal from the first deal to the final escape.
