Bärenpark: The Bad News Bears

About this expansion

Bärenpark: The Bad News Bears is an expansion for 2–4 players that adds three modules to the bear-park building game, with a playing time of about 45 minutes. Each module can be used individually or combined with the Bärenpark base game.

The first module introduces a fresh set of goals. Shuffle these new goals together with those from the base game to create additional challenges for your park-building sessions.

The second module brings grizzly bears to your park. Their tiles occupy seven squares in a park section, so you will need more room to accommodate them. To complete the game with this module, add a fifth park section and fill it.

Four new park sections are included, and each one features an exit gate. This gives visitors a way out while your expanded park continues to grow.

The third module adds skinny monorail tiles. A monorail begins at a value of ten points, then decreases in value as you add monorails to your bear parks, creating a changing scoring element as construction progresses.

• Mix new goals with the base-game goals.
• Add grizzly bear tiles covering seven squares.
• Expand to a fifth park section and fill it to finish the game.
• Build monorails between correctly spaced pillars.

To place a monorail, first build tiles containing spaces for pillars and position them at the proper distance. Once two pillars are ready, take the topmost monorail tile and balance it across them. With Bärenpark: The Bad News Bears, your visitors can scoot around the park while looking down at the bears.
